Founding Story & Commitment to Honest Skincare
Elmsworth & Rowe began because our founder was tired of reading skincare labels that said very little. Bottles promised a great deal, yet the actual ingredient lists were vague, padded out with fillers and unfamiliar names hidden behind broad blend descriptions. We set out to build something plainer: a small range of skincare made from cold-pressed oils and whole botanical extracts, with nothing to hide on the label.
We work directly with a small number of growers and suppliers for our oils and extracts, rather than buying anonymous bulk stock through several middlemen. Each batch we produce is checked by hand against a reference sample for colour, scent and texture before it is packed for dispatch, so what leaves our workshop matches what we intended to make.
Pricing is kept straightforward, without a chain of retail markups between our workshop and your door. Every order is packed carefully and sent by tracked courier, and any question about an order is answered directly by our own small team, not passed between departments.
Honest Labelling
We list every ingredient in plain language, with nothing hidden behind a vague blend name. If it is in the bottle, it is on the label.
Small-Batch Care
We produce in modest quantities so each batch can be checked properly. This means occasional short waits, but consistent quality.
Direct Responsibility
There is no long chain of distributors between us and you. If something is wrong with an order, our own team sorts it out.
We formulate every product from cold-pressed oils and whole plant extracts, and we say so plainly on the label. Our task is to keep that promise batch after batch, not to make grand claims we cannot stand behind.
